The core responsibilities of this role include:

- Complete assigned facilities and refrigeration equipment maintenance activities inside and outside of the warehouse.
- Maintain and optimize all aspects of the facilities' industrial ammonia refrigeration system, including chillers, VFD’s, screw compressors, valves, condensers, evaporators and other engine room components.
- Comprehend and translate mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals.
- Maintain assigned interior/exterior facility and equipment systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, dock doors, dock levelers, lighting, racking, and roof.
- Assist management with updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
- Ensure health, safety and industry policies and standards are in compliance, including maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction.
- Available to be on call nights, weekends, and holidays as required. - Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $35.62 per hour

Maintenance Refrigeration Tech

Key Accountabilities / Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates degree in mechanics or equivalent experience
• Experience with utilizing calibration equipment, such as RTD calibrators, digital multi-meters, hand tools, etc.
• Basic computer skills
• CARO or CIRO Certification
• Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration two stage systems or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Frick screw compressors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of all facility and equipment maintenance concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and HVAC
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, electrical and micro compressor control systems.
• Ability to work in elevated areas or on scissor lifts.
• Willing to work with hazardous materials, ammonia, solvents and cleaning solutions
