Pay

Hourly pay starting at $30.79- $31.68/hour

Work Schedule:

Rotating, (5:00pm-5:00am), but may vary

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a RebuildTechnician to work at our facility in Springfield, MO. Under the direction of the Production Leadership and with Maintenance Leadership guidance, this position will focus on the preventative maintenance program that maintains the equipment’s base condition. The individual shall have strong mechanical skills in proper installation and maintenance of power and transmission systems. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the stock of ready-to-use equipment through management of rebuilding parts for all lines.

  • Assist Shift Leads in performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) functions as needed.

  • Lead and coordinate the activities to achieve business objectives. Foster positive partnership with leadership and other team members.

  • Act as a backup Shift Lead when necessary

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks to the specification listed on the preventative maintenance task list.

  • Complete follow-up work orders for repairs that are found during a preventative maintenance task.

  • Complete root cause failure analysis on equipment breakdowns using KHMS tools like breakdown cards and RCFA forms.

  • Complete the development and provide information to improve the preventative maintenance plans.

  • Complete planned equipment rebuilds/PM activities across the department.

  • Complete any recommendation or implementation of continuous improvement on mechanical equipment design to improve line effectiveness & equipment reliability.

  • Complete and train to tasks outside of normal job scope as requited by leadership.

  • Support maintenance leadership with equipment bill of materials.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory levels for plant equipment.

  • Support training for other associates (technical or production) as needed.

  • Support and maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, and 3rd party associates.

  • Support and participant in assigned teams & support team decisions.

  • Support and configure the calibration of all forms of mechanical and pneumatic process equipment.

  • Support production as needed including back filling line tech (or shift leads) during vacations or labor shortages. Up to and including line coverage and sanitation coverage.

  • Required to work overtime will be required at times when the workload demands.

  • Required to perform and train lubrications tasks, and C.I.L. tasks as needed.

  • Required to provide coverage for peers on vacation, training, sick, and meetings.

  • Required to perform all work in accordance with Kraft loss control rule policy i.e. lockout/tag out, hot work, fall protection, and other safety OSHA regulations.

  • Required to use the SAP system to document daily activities.

  • Required to provide written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey ideas/facts clearly and concisely are preferred.

  • Required keyboarding and typing skills with the ability to communicate with Microsoft Office business application software.

  • Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.

  • Required to provide your own personal tool set as listed on the tool requirement document.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years documented experience working with mechanical equipment, components, and parts within an industrial workplace.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify problems, develop solutions, and implement them effectively.

  • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems.

  • Experience using predictive, preventative, and rebuild planned maintenance programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, ascending, and descending moves up to 50 pounds; holds and grips object; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Working Environments:

  • Primarily indoors in both a hot, humid production environment and cold, cooler environment.
