ROLE PURPOSE: This specialized position blends the key elements of both a maintenance planner and scheduler into one hybrid role. Using the FIIX Computerized Maintenance Management System the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will effectively plan and schedule the corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for the maintenance team. Additionally, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible to create, review, and close all work orders within the FIIX CMMS system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance work to ensure that work is done efficiently with minimal impact to production
  • Create, review, and close all work orders in the FIIX CMMS system
  • Create a Bill of Materials for all preventative, predictive and project activities
  • Work with the MRO Coordinator to ensure all parts required for Preventive, Predictive and Project work are in stock before issuing a work order to the maintenance team
  • Participates in daily maintenance scheduling meetings
  • Coordinates work assignments and scheduling of maintenance technicians needed to successfully execute planned maintenance activities
  • Continually reviews and optimizes the Preventative and Predictive maintenance activities
  • Coordinates production downtime requirements with the production and management teams
  • Coordinates contractor work and provides contractor orientation (GMPs)
  • Participate in failure analysis and operational improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with maintenance contracts

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Maintenance trade certification or Engineering degree is considered an asset
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Food Manufacturing industry experience is an asset

  • Team player who can effectively collaborate with and support Maintenance and Production leadership teams
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and excellent coaching skills

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Personnel, Maintenance Inventory Coordinator, Plant Manager, Supervisors, and other co-workers.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Vendors, Contractors, and External Sales Associates

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Combination of sitting, standing & walking throughout the day
  • Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, and humidity
  • In-office position (not remote), Monday to Friday with some weekend overtime required.
