of the Role

The role of the Maintenance Planner is critical to the ongoing success of the Maintenance and Reliability effort. The Planner is responsible for identifying the elements of an executable work plan that should contain (but not limited to), the work plan, the necessary materials, tools, and permits, and labor requirements prior to passing the work on to scheduling.

The Planner will also update and adjust existing job plans and equipment data. They are expected to incorporate safetyand food safetyinto all work plans and help ensure that work is performed safely,efficiently,and help ensure that the work management processis managed efficiently.ThePlannerisalso expected to ensure that the work management portions of the CMMS are updated and accurate.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Driveassetreliability strategythat enhances equipment availability andminimizesequipment downtime

  • Review,organize, and prioritize workbased onassetfailure modesfor planning.

  • Determine work priorities using a RiskAssessmentMatrix or equivalent decision-making tool.

  • Develop workpackagesto provide all required information/criteria to drive precision maintenance.

  • Facilitate root cause analysis sessions for repeat failuresof critical equipment.

  • Determine if Engineering Change is required and initiateManagementofChange (MOC)Processfor process or equipment upgrade.

  • Determine if job plansareavailable.

  • Plan and estimate work orders including (but not limited to): Procedures & Instructions, Crafts and Labor ID, Time Estimate & Milestones, Drawings & Manuals, Material Estimation, Special Tools & Services, Safety & Environmental, Validation & Completion Requirements, Permits.

  • Coordinate with Purchasing to order and reserve materials

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure equipment availability for planned work.

  • Determine ifthe jobis ready to schedule.

  • Change work order status appropriately based onthe workmanagement process.

  • Conduct PMintegrity andoptimizationto align with equipment strategies.

  • MaintainequipmentBill of Material.

  • Monitor workflow complianceand related KPIs

  • Manage a ready backlog formaintenancescheduler.

  • Develop and lead cross functional weekly planning meetings.

  • Managed planned work for all thirdparties’activities.

  • Ensure contractor compliance through ISN.

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety& food safetyrules and regulations

  • Other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrical or Millwright Trade qualificationor a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

  • 3+ years of relatedfoodindustry experience within maintenance role

  • Lean Six Sigma trainingis consideredan asset.

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is an asset

  • Experience with safe work practices, such as Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), confined spaces, jobtaskpermitting, etc.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office programs.

  • KnowledgeableAutodesk software.

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such asFIIX, MP2 and/orSAP
