Job Description

Maintenance Planner & Scheduler-268281

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Systems Lead, you’ll play a key role in keeping the fuel infrastructure that supports the Australian Defence Force reliable and operational. This is a secure, long-term opportunity supporting critical assets across Army, Air Force and Navy sites.

A key focus will be driving a proactive approach to maintenance across Defence fuel installations, including tanks, pipelines, pumps and associated infrastructure. By developing maintenance plans, coordinating resources and building schedules, you’ll improve asset reliability, maintain compliance and reduce reactive maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, bringing structure to complex operations and seeing the direct impact of their work.

Working closely with maintenance teams, contractors and Defence stakeholders, you’ll be the link between site and head office. This role is well suited to someone with a mechanical or electrical background who can understand technical information and turn site requirements into practical maintenance plans.

Using SAP, you’ll manage work orders, preventative maintenance and asset data while monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency across the contract; ideal for a tech-savvy individual who can effectively utilise SAP.

Requires

  • Trade qualification in a mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related discipline preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Technician, Supervisor, Planner, or similar maintenance role.

  • Training and development in SAP Planning and Scheduling systems will be provided but prior experience with SAP as a CMMS is highly preferred.

  • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, work management, or coordination activities is desirable but not essential.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, asset management, project management, or similar disciplines are advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
