Job Description

Maintenace planner is responsible for planning and overseeing the utilization of production facilities by ensuring materials are available to complete work assignments. Plans and processes work orders and all requisitions from crew members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures that all department work performed is done in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all MSHA standards.
  • Plan and coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance requirements while minimizing negative impact on operations.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in weekly planning meetings with operations, mechanical, electrical, and mobile equipment supervisors.
  • Ensures that the daily and weekly maintenance schedules are communicated and coordinated with those affected.
  • Assists in the development of long-range maintenance management outages, schedules, and budgets.
  • Generates required maintenance performance reports.
  • Communicates the key maintenance performance indicators as well as companies KPI’s.
  • Processes requisitions for crew members.
  • Orders all necessary parts and materials to complete the work plan.
  • Ensures that all necessary parts/materials are staged and/or delivered to the job site prior to commencement of the job.
  • Inspects and assesses work areas to plan future projects.
  • Is the primary department interface with non-purchasing related issues with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).​
  • Five (5) years of related work experience minimum
  • ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY
  • The job requires training or instruction in Environmental Awareness.
  • This job requires training or instruction in Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate OSHA and/or MSHA training.
