
The Maintenance Planner supports a food manufacturing facility by planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventative maintenance and daily work orders. This role partners closely with Operations and Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule preventative maintenance, work orders, and planned downtime
Coordinate maintenance personnel and contractors during scheduled work
Support PM programs for production lines and facility equipment
Analyze downtime and equipment failures to drive root cause and continuous improvement
Communicate maintenance activity across Operations, QA, Sanitation, and Safety teams
Maintain CMMS records, work orders, logs, and maintenance documentation
Support MRO parts inventory and equipment readiness
Assist with food safety, quality, and environmental compliance requirements
Participate in safety, SQF/GFSI, and quality audits
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of maintenance or plant operations experience (food manufacturing preferred)
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
CMMS experience
Maintenance planning experience
Technical or vocational degree
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs
Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb ladders throughout the shift
Work in hot, cold, and humid food manufacturing environments
