About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and based at GrainCorp’s Fisherman Islands office; the Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the terminal operations.You'll work closely with maintenance and operations teams to plan, coordinate and continuoulsy improve maintenance activities across the site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining maintenance schedules in collaboration with operations teams
  • Planning materials, resources, equipment and contractors for preventative and shutdown maintenance works
  • Consulting with Operations supervisors and Leaders on preventative maintenance activities and equipment servicing
  • Partnering with the Maintenance Supervisor to effectively schedule manpower and resources
  • Developing cost and time estimates for planned maintenance work
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and equipment maintenance history
  • Driving continuous improvement across planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems


About your experience
You're an organised, proactive planner who thrives in a fast paced environment. You communicate confidently, manage competing priorities with ease, and remain composed under pressure. You will also bring:

  • Planning experience in CMMS (SAP experience is highly desirable)
  • A strong asset management background across fixed plant, materials handling and/or mobile plant
  • Sound understanding of budget constraints and cost control
  • Demonstrate composure under pressure and excel in managing time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to apply complex problem solving and critical thinking techniques
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration abilities
