Your mission

We are officially on the lookout for a dedicated Maintenance Planner to join our team, working 5 days onsite in Visp!

In this crucial new role driven by capacity needs, your mission is to optimize our maintenance schedules, shutdown activities, and processes to support the growing complexity of our Viva 2 requirements. You will act as the central planning function, directly preventing longer downtime, bridging coordination gaps, and increasing overall predictability for production and quality. Your primary goal is to plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance and shutdowns in close collaboration with Engineering, Production, and external service providers to execute maintenance efficiently, utilize resources optimally, and minimize production interruptions.

Your responsibilities will include,

• Creation, Maintenance, and Optimization of Maintenance Plans: You will develop and maintain short- and long-term maintenance plans considering deadlines, capacities, and resources, using central planning tools like an overarching maintenance schedule.
• Optimization and Further Development of Maintenance Processes: You will analyze existing workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable optimizations, including creating standards and establishing KPIs.
• Alignment and Communication with Stakeholders: You will regularly align with internal and external partners, communicate maintenance windows, and respond to changes in the production schedule (e.g., MPS), proposing solutions and escalating when necessary.
• Maintenance of Equipment and Material Master Data: You will ensure that all technical data—including spare part and component lists, technical documents, and material allocations—is complete, correct, structured, and audit-ready.
• Creation of Purchase Requisitions for Spare Parts: You will ensure the availability of critical spare parts, prioritize procurement needs, and work closely with Purchasing and Supply Chain.
• Oversight and Quality Assurance of Execution: You will oversee the execution of all maintenance activities with regard to quality, safety, schedule adherence, and resources.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with:

• A completed technical apprenticeship or degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or a similar qualification).
• Strong organizational skills and enjoyment in structuring and improving workflows.
• Experience in maintenance planning, ideally in a regulated environment, which is an advantage.
• The ability to work independently, think proactively, and take initiative.
• Experience in managing small projects or coordinating technical activities.
• Very good German skills and the ability to communicate in English.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in working within a team.
