Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Planner to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring the maintenance of the Tier 1 assets which include 2x 2570 Draglines and three (3) rope shovels and relevant infrastructure around site to ensure that targeted availabilities are achieved and exceeded.

  • Develop effective maintenance plans and assisting the manager, superintendents, and supervisors in the implementation of these plans is key to your success.

  • Ensure that the appropriate risk management processes are utilised when planning work

  • Be accountable for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and repaired in line with company production needs, targeted availabilities, statutory obligations and assist in the development of maintenance strategies and budgets for the equipment.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Have a trade or tertiary qualification in an Electrical / Engineering discipline

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Project

  • Experience with plant and mobile equipment maintenance and familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems

  • Systems, including SAP

  • Experience in similar mining equipment and/or Plant Maintenance role

  • Strong communication skills

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities

  • Actively investigate enhancements to procedures and processes that achieve improvements in performance, safety, job satisfaction and productivity.
