Maintenance Planner

High Prairie, Alberta

We’re looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press making us one of the most modern mills in North America

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • A strong technical background, gained through relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience building comprehensive job plans and work packages
  • Coordination experience for maintenance outages (both minor and major).
  • Experience building work schedules to optimize maintenance opportunities in a 24/7 operation.
  • MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) Certification or Maintenance Planning Certificate considered an asset.
  • Understanding stores/spare parts management processes and know how to utilize the resources available to you and plan for the future.
  • In-depth understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices, along with advanced skills in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience creating, revising, and maintaining Bills of Material
  • Ability to work with a team of planners and effectively collaborate across functional teams.

In this role you will:

  • Build routine and extended outage maintenance plans to keep the mill running reliably.
  • Efficiently manage both major and minor maintenance outages.
  • Ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place to support our team of trades personnel, allowing them to safely and quickly complete planned maintenance.
  • Partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service

  • You'll earn an additional northern allowance on top of your base pay.
