We provide amazing job opportunities for growth with competitive salaries and benefits in an exciting, dynamic, fast-paced, and fun workplace environment. Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Planner at our manufacturing plant in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in equipment reliability and maintenance execution across the plant. You will manage the full lifecycle of planned maintenance work — from identifying equipment needs and developing job plans to ensuring materials are ready and work is executed to standard. This role works closely with maintenance supervision, craft technicians, engineers, and operations to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Reliability Engineering Manager.

You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!

  • Maintain a healthy backlog of fullyplanned, ready-to-schedule work to support consistent crew utilization.
  • Develop detailed job plans, including work steps, materials, and resource requirements, in collaboration with craft, engineering, and OEM resources.
  • Prioritize and plan work in alignment with guidance from the Maintenance Area Supervisor.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance job plans using reliability-centered principles, with focus on critical assets.
  • Develop and maintain PMs, predictive maintenance tasks, and standard work instructions.
  • Analyze condition-based monitoring reports and initiate follow-up work orders as needed.
  • Coordinate spare parts and kitting, verifying material completeness in advance of scheduled work to prevent delays and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct pre-job walkthroughs with supervisors and craft to validate scope, safety, and readiness before work begins.
  • Perform job plan audits during execution and update plans based on feedback to improve future work.
  • Support equipment start-up following outages to ensure a successful return to operation.
  • Participate in or lead daily and weekly team meetings and contribute to root cause analyses.
  • Support the team during breakdowns and production upsets through the established escalation process.
  • Backfill for the Maintenance Area Supervisor as needed.
  • Oversee planned work execution, including coordination with contractors when necessary.
  • Verify work quality to support safe return to service and minimize the risk of premature failures.

You will love it here if…

  • You put safety first, always
  • You listen, learn, and evolve
  • You are passionate about collaboration, teamwork, and achieving shared goals
  • You treat all people with respect, operating ethically, and embrace inclusivity
  • You are committed to improving our impact on local communities

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • Associate degree or higher in a technical field, or 10+ years of technical training and/or experience in maintenance, engineering technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process operations.
  • 2+ years of maintenance planning, scheduling, supervisory or engineering experience.
  • Experience working with a CMMS (SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with maintenance craft, operations, engineering, and contractors.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, P&IDs, hydraulic schematics, electrical and mechanical drawings, and technical documents.
  • Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) best practices, and condition-based monitoring (CBM) principles.
  • Knowledge and application of NFPA 70E, ASME, ANSI, and other applicable codes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and contractor safety practices.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial setting.
