Purpose and Scope

The Maintenance Plan Coordinator plays a key role in supporting safe, compliant, and effective maintenance operations. Reporting to the SSC Operations Supervisor, this role provides coordination and administrative support across the maintenance planning function. Working closely with planners, schedulers, maintenance, operations, and engineering teams, the Maintenance Plan Coordinator ensures maintenance activities are accurately planned, scheduled, and documented—enabling optimal resource use and timely preventive maintenance delivery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Business Administration (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities

Desired:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Planning and Scheduling
  • Trade qualification

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, compliance awareness, and customer service orientation, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and quality control.

Tickets and Licenses

Required:

  • Current valid Driver’s License

Desired:

  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • White Card qualification

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance planning or scheduling
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with attention to detail

Desired:

  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience preparing reports, developing detailed procedures, and documenting maintenance plans

Work Environment and Demands

This position is primarily office-based, with occasional requirements for light lifting (up to 10kg), standing, or walking. It requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

At least 18 years of age.

Able to fluently read, write and speak English

Australian or US citizen

Security Clearance Requirement

Employment is conditional upon obtaining and maintaining the appropriate security and medical clearances required for work at the SITE.

  • Australian: Top Secret Positive Vetting (TS/PV) clearance
  • U.S.: Top Secret / SCI (TS/SSCI) clearance
