The Role

The Maintenance Operative will support the delivery of foodservice projects. Primarily working at client’s sites, under the guidance of a Project Manager or Site Supervisor, this role will be involved in the delivery of Portable Kitchen Unit solutions and the set of foodservice equipment.

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on team player, ideally with experience in carpentry and/or plumbing, but essentially with the right attitude. The role is predominantly client site based and therefore willingness to travel is also essential.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same – one day you might be constructing an extensive modular kitchen build, and the next helping to set up equipment at a major event.

What You’ll Do

• Support client site installation of single or modular Portable Kitchen Units
• Carrying out maintenance on doors, windows, vents, hatches, drainage, and other structures
• Assisting with lifting, shifting, and setting up catering equipment at client sites
• Ensuring all work meets high standards of finish, safety, and functionality
• Travelling across the UK and overseas to support major events and public sector projects

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more skilled trades (plumbing, carpentry, roofing, flooring, painting, etc.)
• A “hands-on,” can-do approach and problem-solving mindset
• Confident communicator who works well in a team and with clients
• Able to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly on site
• Positive, reliable, and organised with strong attention to detail

Essential Requirements

• Full, clean driving licence
• Willing to travel across the UK and overseas (sometimes for extended periods)
• Computer literacy
• Respectful, tidy, and safety-conscious when working on site
