We are currently seeking a Part Time Maintenance Officer to join our Engineering team.

Your Day to Day

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will play a vital role in maintaining the Resort's facilities, equipment, and grounds to the highest standards. You will help create a safe, comfortable, and memorable environment for our guests while ensuring compliance with operational and workplace safety requirements.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on team member with a strong eye for detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues alike.

In this role, you will:

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across the Resort.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
• Support the Engineering team in maintaining all Resort facilities, plant, and equipment.
• Assist with routine inspections to ensure assets remain in excellent condition.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Workplace Health & Safety policies, procedures, and Duty of Care obligations.
• Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders across the Resort to deliver exceptional service.
• Assist with the organisation of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively contribute solutions.
• Attend departmental briefings, meetings, and training sessions as required.
• Uphold IHG brand standards, policies, and values in all aspects of your work.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, trades, or hotel engineering environment.
• Strong practical skills with the ability to work effectively in a hands-on role.
• A commitment to high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of Workplace Health & Safety practices.
• The ability to interact confidently with guests, colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders in a manner that reflects positively on the Resort, the brand, and IHG.
• A professional presentation and customer-focused approach.
