We are looking for a Maintenance Officer, Mechanical to join our Power Generation Division and contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the power plant.

In this role, you will manage mechanical maintenance activities throughout their full lifecycle, from identifying and planning the required work to coordinating resources, supervising execution, accepting the completed work, and returning equipment safely to operation.

You will combine mechanical expertise with maintenance planning, contractor coordination, troubleshooting, contract management, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Operations, Contractors, Technical Services, and Original Equipment Manufacturers.

What you will do:

  • Identify, define, and plan preventive, predictive, corrective, and project-related mechanical maintenance activities during daily plant operation and planned outages.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the annual maintenance plan and propose improvements to maintenance scope, frequency, methods, and spare-parts requirements.
  • Plan and secure all resources required for execution, including drawings, manuals, spare parts, materials, contractors, OEM support, and engineering services.
  • Develop and agree on appropriate work methods in collaboration with Contractors, OEMs, Technical Services, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the complete maintenance workflow, including work orders, material reservations, permit requests, technical completion, contractor reports, and invoice processing.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors from work preparation through completion, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environment requirements, agreed schedules, technical specifications, and quality standards.
  • Inspect and formally accept completed work and coordinate the safe return of equipment to Operations.
  • Lead or participate in equipment troubleshooting, independently or with support from Operations, Technical Services, Contractors, Engineering Specialists, and OEMs.
  • Act as owner for assigned maintenance contracts, ensuring that scopes, terms, financial limits, and renewal requirements remain up to date and aligned with plant needs.
  • Coordinate mechanical maintenance activities during daily work and planned outages, managing interfaces between Operations, Contractors, OEMs, and other maintenance disciplines.
  • Maintain accurate equipment histories, maintenance records, technical documentation, and KPIs within the plant’s maintenance management system.
  • Contribute to maintenance budget monitoring, spare-parts optimization, audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule and provide technical and coordination support during plant emergencies when required.

What you will need in order to succeed:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Technical Chamber of Greece membership.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial, energy, manufacturing, or process environment will be considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and enthusiasm for developing expertise in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, contractor coordination, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, equipment manuals, operating data, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • Awareness of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Very good written and spoken English and strong digital skills.
  • A proactive, safety-focused, and quality-oriented approach, with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and work effectively in a demanding operational environment.
