Maintenance Officer (Full Time)

voco Gold Coast is looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our Engineering team. Your Day-to-Day

Keeping our hotel running smoothly is essential to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Maintenance Officer, you'll help ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and presented to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Maintaining guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and equipment to a high standard.
• Assisting with painting, grouting, silicone work, and general refurbishment projects.
• Conducting routine inspections and identifying opportunities for proactive maintenance.
• Working safely and in line with hotel policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Supporting the Engineering team to ensure all operational areas remain guest-ready at all times.

* Painting, silicone and grouting experience will be highly regarded.

What We're Looking For

• A trade qualification or certification is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in maintenance, repairs, facilities, or a similar role.
• Practical skills and working knowledge of building systems, hand and power tools, basic plumbing, electrical work, and preventative maintenance practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance management or reporting systems.
• A high level of physical fitness, with the ability to spend extended periods standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• An electrical licence or related qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
