The State Buildings site is located on the corner of Barrack Street and St Georges Terrace. We have restored the collection of former government buildings to include an exciting mix of hotel, hospitality, and retail spaces.
Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to work closely with the Chief Engineer in the daily operations of the State Buildings. This role will be working 27 - 38 hours per week.
Duties
As an ambassador for our commitment to individuality and personalised service, you will use your expertise to maintain quality standards and procedures.

Skills & Experience
We are seeking an individual with at least 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Officer, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry. Trade background is an advantage.
You will have sound knowledge in general building, maintenance, painting and repairs. Strong communication, organisational and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to work within team and independently.
The role will require an exceptional level of communication, excellent written and spoken English, attention to detail and problem solving abilities. You will be expected to deal directly with contractors, supervisors, managers and occasionally our guests to answer queries and resolve issues on a daily basis. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings is essential.
