As a Maintenance & Reliability Ford Champ, you will report directly to the Maintenance Engineering Operations Team. You will serve as the project driver for the digitalization, automation, and operational deployment of the Maintenance Control Center directly executing the Global Maintenance Operating System (GMOS) to close gaps and achieve Level 3 (World Class) in the Lean Maturity Model (LMM).

What you´ll do:

Core Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  1. MCC Daily & Zone Control Center (Operational Floor Management & Andons):
  • Visual Dashboard Design: Structure and automate the visual MCC Daily board integrating:
  • Proactive Andons: Manpower Available vs. Required (RTO/Est. hrs), Crib Order Fulfillment ($>95%$), Backup Processes Ready to Run, Pre-alarmas CBM/PdM, and daily Planned Maintenance Compliance (PMC).
  • Reactive Andons: Top X Downtime, Constraint Downtime, Emergency Work Orders (EM/CM), Recurring Failures, and 4D/RCA triggers.
  • Kanban Board: Implement an interactive Work Order Kanban with multi-filtering for shop-floor tracking.
  • Data Pipeline & Connectivity: Connect automated daily telemetry from IIoT/FIS (JPH, TTP, Availability), MFM / Maximo (daily backlog, work orders), and FPS Hub Apps
  • Standard Work (MOS Rhythms): Establish standard operating routines for Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Engineers to review the MCC Daily board at shift handover.
  1. MCC Weekly, Constraint & Asset Fleet Management:
  • Weekly Tactical Modules: Structure and automate the MCC Weekly dashboards covering:
  • Constraint Management: Effective Throughput trends, Cycle Time, % Availability, and Pareto Top X downtime losses.
  • Asset Fleet Management: Backlog aging analysis, Spares/Crib fulfillment, PMC trends, PM Optimization progress, and 4D corrective action loops.
  • Bowler & KPI Consolidation: Automate the consolidated scorecard tracking Leading and Lagging maintenance metrics, asset health, and the plant’s LMM audit score for roll-up to the Department and Plant Control Centers.
  • Elimination of Non-Value-Added Time: Replace manual spreadsheets with dynamic dashboards (Power BI / SharePoint / MFM-GMOS Dashboards).
  1. Defect Elimination & 4D Integration:
  • Support the 4D/Root Cause Analysis routines for major breakdowns , and learn, follow up investigations
  • Verify that root causes and escape points lead to permanent updates in Maximo job plans and standard work.

Requirements

Active student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Systems/Data Engineering, Robotics, or a related engineering field.

Fluent English (90% / B2-C1 equivalent) with strong technical communication, writing, and presentation skills (capable of presenting to plant and global leadership).

Technical Knowledge

  • Data Visualization & Analytics: Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel (Power Query, DAX, complex formulas, data modeling).
  • Digital Tools: Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint list management, and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate / Power Apps is a plus).
  • Maintenance & Reliability Fundamentals: Understanding of MTBF, MTTR, Availability/OEE, Planned Maintenance Compliance (PMC), Preventive Maintenance (PM), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), and Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
  • Lean Manufacturing & Problem Solving: Familiarity with Lean/5S concepts and structured root cause problem solving methodologies (4D, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone).
  • Industrial Systems (Desirable): Basic awareness of Enterprise Asset Management / CMMS (IBM Maximo / MFM) and manufacturing telemetry/SCADA

  • Strong analytical thinking and structured approach to data governance.
  • High proactivity, autonomy, and results-driven orientation.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills; comfortable interacting with floor technicians, supervisors, and team managers.
  • Strong sense of urgency and operational ownership regarding plant downtime.
