The Role:
We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) who’s ready to jump in and help keep our factory equipment operating at its best. You’ll work hands-on with everything from processing and packaging lines to pumps, conveyors, and motors. You’ll be part of a unionized team that values safety, teamwork, and doing things the right way.
What You’ll Do:
Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems.
Respond to breakdowns and equipment issues quickly and safely to minimize downtime.
Inspect, maintain, and rebuild mechanical components like gearboxes, bearings, belts, shafts, and drives.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with other trades, production, and quality teams to solve problems and improve processes.
Follow all safety, food safety (GMP, HACCP), and environmental procedures.
Keep maintenance records up to date in the CMMS.
Contribute to a respectful, team-first work culture.
What You Bring:
Certified Millwright (433A) or equivalent mechanical trade license.
3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting—food industry experience is a big plus.
Solid mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills; welding or fabrication experience is an asset.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Comfortable working 12-hour rotating continental shifts (days and nights).
Good communication and a strong team player attitude.
Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $41.24 CAD. In addition to base hourly rate, this position has the potential to earn shift premiums and / or overtime depending on the shift and schedule.
