Job Description

Teknion Custom Solutions is looking for a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our maintenance team in Calgary. You will play a vital role in maintaining our 200,000 sq. ft. wood furniture manufacturing facility, ensuring that production machinery and building systems operate at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on complex manufacturing machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions by repairing or replacing defective parts.
  • Plan and oversee the installation, assembly, and relocation of production equipment and building systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections (cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting) to identify and resolve potential issues before they cause failure.
  • Ensure all machinery meets machine lock-out (LOTO) procedures and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Utilize Interal software and other computer programs (Google Suite, Excel) to maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work orders.
  • Identify and procure necessary parts and supplies for repairs.
  • Actively train team members and expand the internal knowledge base to improve the overall technical capability of the maintenance department.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Valid Journeyperson Millwright ticket (Red Seal preferred).
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical manuals/schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of hand and power tools as well as lifts.
  • A willingness to share expertise and a capability to train others.
  • Must be inquisitive, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
