Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech II, you’ll be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Distribution Center equipment. This position is also responsible for assisting with facility repairs as needed. This Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech II is expected to be proactive and can perform their work at a high level with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following all Safety policies in compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards and Programs
  • Perform tasks to increase Equipment Uptime and Reliability
  • Perform periodic Preventative Maintenance tasks
  • Provide troubleshooting skills to make mechanical/electrical repairs to equipment
  • Communicate issues/improvements/ideas between department members and Supervision
  • Responsible for reviewing Corrective Work Orders via Smartsheets or CMMS software and update as required
  • Troubleshoot equipment/machinery to determine issue and repair in a safe/timely manner
  • Light Fabrication Work as needed
  • Work alongside the Operations team in resolving equipment issues

Qualifications

  • Follow Safety Policies and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance
  • Ability to perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Knowledge and ability to understand Electrical/Mechanical Drawings
  • Experience repairing complex equipment/machinery
  • Knowledge and experience with computers (Ability to research parts, machines, etc.)
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to complete tasks timely

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Working toward or have received a Technical Degree or Equivalent
  • Problem solving experience
  • Knowledge in Continuous Improvement (Improve equipment with new designs/modifications)
  • 5+ Years of Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Experience
