Atlantic Staffing in Jacksonville, NC is currently accepting resumes for experienced Maintenance Mechanics.

Maintains production and quality by repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.

Duties of the Maintenance Mechanic:

• Maintains production and quality by repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Perform breakdown analysis and conduct repairs as needed.
• Upgrade operations with new equipment/technology.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications of the Maintenance Mechanic

• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum 5-7 years past experience as an electrical/mechanical technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic electrical systems (e.g. starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
• Strong electrical (AC and DC), electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills with emphasis on electrical.
• PLC, pneumatics, pumps, and hydraulics experience.
• Adept at reading electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
• Good understanding of lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Welding, ammonia refrigeration, cooling towers, and/or boiler steam distribution systems experience preferred

Pay & Schedule of the Maintenance Mechanic:

• $21.00 an hour to start - 90 Day Training Period
• Monday - Friday and Weekends as needed
• 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Lots of Overtime!
• Weekly Pay!
