Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Team Manager, the incumbent will respond to support calls on production/process equipment and utility breakdowns. This will include diagnosing, repairing both mechanical and electrical service calls including (motor starters, photo eyes, proxes, encoders, limit switches etc.). This role will also serve as an advanced troubleshooting resource helping the operations team with setup and equipment related issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Assist operators and other mechanics with basic duties and change-overs. Able to complete Winpak conversions

• Support, troubleshoot, and repair general production equipment

• Able to perform Waste Water checks and recover Waste Water system from out of tolerance events

• Able to complete assigned PM's and minor work orders; able to write and close out work orders

• Able to read and understand blueprints and other technical documents to locate part numbers, diagnose equipment failures, and repair equipment

• Assist with training employees to identify basic mechanical issues and repair as necessary

• Able to operate CMMS system to locate, check out parts, and complete PM's

• Able to lubricate equipment as needed

• Completes Maintenance 5 Standards and Maintenance Log

• Able to replace mechanical components of drive system motors, drives, sprockets, chains, belts, pulleys, bearings, and other various devices

• Basic understanding of HVAC troubleshooting and repair

• Able to replace air, product, hydraulic, and boiler piping system components

• Able to complete Root Cause Failure Analysis on failed components / parts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Must be very detail oriented and have strong interpersonal, communication and team-based skills.
  • Being a self-starter as well as a problem-solver are required assets.
  • Three to Five years of plant maintenance experience
  • Troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments
  • Proficient in the use of applications of test equipment such as multimeters
  • Working knowledge of Windows
  • Working knowledge and field experience with process/programmable controllers and AC/DC drives.
  • Industrial control wiring experience
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics
  • Possess knowledge of NEC requirements
  • Must be able to work in cross functional teams
  • Ability to work overtime daily and on weekends; flexibility with shift hours
  • Excellent on-site attendance
  • Flexibility with shift and workday assignments to support business needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS
  • AA degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or completion of an approved apprenticeship in industrial electrical maintenance or 5-7 years direct applicable experience.

Base Salary INSERT RANGE

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program
