The Team You’ll Work With …

As the Maintenance Mechanic II, you will work directly with our talented Maintenance team to ensure the optimal functionality of our industrial equipment through proactive maintenance and timely repairs. The Maintenance Technician will diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, presses, kilns, automated systems, mobile equipment, and pumps. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is located onsite in Spokane, WA. This is an hourly position (starting off on the day shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm, with the ability to work alternative shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime) and pays $28-$35 depending on experience, plus a discretionary bonus and generous stock options.

The opportunities you will have …

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs).
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, presses, kilns, automated systems, mobile equipment, and pumps.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and execute effective repairs.
  • Execute precise manual machining tasks on component parts, including boring, keyway cutting, facing, and turning steps on shafts.
  • Perform machining operations such as broaching, boring, honing, fly cutting, and threading to rebuild or modify equipment components.
  • Perform custom metal fabrication and modification work to support plant operations and equipment repair.
  • Adhere to strict Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures during equipment servicing.
  • Operate and maintain material handling equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

About You …

  • Proven experience in industrial equipment maintenance, repair, and metal fabrication.
  • Hands-on proficiency with conventional machine shop tools (lathes, mills, broaches, hones) to bore, key, face, and turn components.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software).
  • Thorough understanding of LOTO procedures.
  • Proficient in MIG welding and general fabrication; TIG welding is a plus.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery, shop tools, and mechanical drive systems.
  • Ability to interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Reliable, adaptable, and capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical skills, including experience wiring 3-phase motors.
  • High school diploma or GED, with at least 2 years of relevant experience or technical training.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and climbing.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments and areas with dust and chemicals.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technologies.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • You must supply your own basic tools.
