
Scarsdale Schools is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Maintenance Mechanic - Electrician.

Job Description: Under general supervision, this position
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the tools, processes, terminology, installation, maintenance, and repair techniques associated with the electrical trade, as well as applicable state and local codes and OSHA safety standards. The successful candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, calculate electrical loads and wire sizes, use electrical test equipment, read blueprints and electrical drawings, and follow oral and written instructions. Physical strength, manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, mechanical ability, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work effectively with others are required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Possession of a current Master Electrician License issued by the Westchester County Electrical Licensing Board in accordance with Sections 277.702 and 277.707 of Westchester County Law Article XVII.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: The required Master Electrician License must be current and maintained throughout employment.
At the time of appointment, the incumbent may be required to possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for any vehicle operated in the performance of assigned duties.
This is a non-competitive class civil service position.
