A Brief Summary of This Position:

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient operations and minimize downtime.

Candidates will be considered for placement at the appropriate level based on experience, technical skills, and overall qualifications. Starting wage varies based on level of experience.

Full time hours, Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (+Overtime as needed)

Essential Functions

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems, including hydraulic presses, shears, cranes, welders, mechanical clutches, drive trains, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Install new equipment and perform major equipment repairs and replacements.
  • Diagnose equipment issues through testing, inspection, disassembly, measurement, repair, and reassembly.
  • Utilize diagnostic and troubleshooting tools including volt, ohm, and amp meters, meggers, tachometers, and other maintenance instruments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, maintenance instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Fabricate and repair fixtures and components as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other support departments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Support facility maintenance activities, including building and grounds maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotations as required.
  • Work safely, follow all company safety procedures, and wear required PPE.
  • Support production demands through overtime, weekend, holiday, or off-shift work when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, or maintenance environments.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook or similar programs.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to obtain required equipment certifications, including forklift and overhead crane operations where applicable.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical training in industrial maintenance or machine repair.
  • Experience with CNC equipment, machining, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, or metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical blueprints.
  • Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Welding experience with steel and aluminum.
  • Experience with mills, lathes, and machine shop equipment.
  • Experience with plumbing systems, including water and natural gas.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
