MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing or electrical or mechanical equipment; or
Vocational/technical training in mechanical repair or one of the building trades can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Requires possession of a valid Driver License.

JOB DUTIES:
This position, headquartered at the Fort Myers State Farmers Market, Lee, provides a broad range of repair and maintenance functions.
Installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment. Inspects municipal water supplies, Maintains and Inspects safety equipment, Emergency Lighting, Fire extinguishers on a monthly basis ensuring all are operational and in compliance per policy and procedure and is documented.
Performs various cement/concrete work and performs minor welding/brazing. Makes minor asphalt repairs.
Installs, maintains and repairs valves, sinks, wash bowls, sewers and other sanitary fixtures.
Maintains and repairs heating and air conditioning equipment. Operates and maintains power equipment and tools, including power saws, drills, chain saws, bench grinders, lawn mowers and other as necessary.
Performs lawn care and grounds maintenance duties.
Performs minor mechanical repairs to state equipment and maintains regular maintenance on equipment such as oil changes. Maintains maintenance records, inventory of market supplies, other than office supplies.
Cleans and stocks public restrooms.
Performs other related work as assigned by supervisor. Also assists with Phone, Scale and Office duties when Market Manager and Clerk not present.
