The primary responsibility is to maintain, repair, or replace all manufacturing equipment. Conduct daily inspections of all equipment. Meet with supervisor daily to get the list of daily work orders that need to be completed. This is an in person position located at our Greg St. facility (no remote work). Expected schedule will be 12:00pm-8:30pm
Essential Duties:
Improve plant operations by maintaining production equipment by repairing or replacing the equipment as directed
Maintain organization of supplies, tools, and parts for the maintenance department
Complete a monthly preventive maintenance inspection
Tools/Equipment:
Driving a forklift and scissor lift
Ladders
Hand tools (employee provides own basic hand tools)
Power tools
Welding
Chemicals
Physical Demands:
Standing and walking frequently
Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly
Lifting 50-75 pounds occasionally
Team lifting of 100 pounds rarely
Capable of carrying up to 50 pounds constantly
Pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds constantly
Constantly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist
Constantly climbing ladders and stairs
Occasionally balancing, or crawling
Constantly reaching, and reaching above the head
Constantly handling, and repetitive movement of the hands and feet
Frequently driving heavy machinery (forklifts)
Able to work at a height of up to 30 feet
Qualifications
Prior knowledge of food manufacturing processes (a plus, but not a requirement)
Ability to use common and specialized maintenance tools efficiently
Ability to be organized and follow up on tasks
Ability to receive instructions in a positive manner
Possess interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
Ability to work in a team setting and independently
