Description

The Facilities Division is hiring a Maintenance Manager position that:

  • Provides supervision of state employees and overall management of buildings, grounds and facilities located
    at Kentucky Air National Guard base, Standiford Field.
  • Responsible for the day to day operations for (HVAC) Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Electrician,
    Carpenters, Plumbers, Grounds-crews, and Custodial duties.
  • Works with Federal and State Director's to assure compliance of all State and Federal laws while
    properly maintaining all buildings to a high standard.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise all State maintenance personnel at the Kentucky Air National Guard located at
    Standiford Field and dealing with personnel actions including evaluations, disciplinary actions, and
    recommendation for hiring.
  • Responsible for the Integrated Engineering Management work order system, administrative
    operations to include purchasing, budgeting, assigning work task, inspect and closeout
    completed work orders.
  • Recommend scope of work and cost concerning renovations, repairs and new construction projects.
  • Keep Director informed of all necessary information regarding the Air Guard Base.
  • Develop and recommend policies concerning training, maintenance program, and equipment purchase.
  • Assure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Seven years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Formal training in industrial arts, horticulture, building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, mechanical engineering, or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for- year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents in this job title may be required to use hand tools and lift items in excess of 20 pounds.
