Salary range $119,000 - $148,000
We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered will vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager for our Modesto, CA facility.
The Maintenance Manager is the senior maintenance leader responsible for the overall reliability, safety, and performance of all site equipment, buildings, and facility infrastructure. This role ensures that maintenance operations support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production while meeting all regulatory, environmental, and company standards. Success is achieved through the direct leadership and development of subordinate supervisors and technicians, while building a strong, engaged maintenance organization capable of delivering reliable equipment performance, preventative maintenance discipline, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Essential Duties
Operational Performance & KPI Accountability
- Own and drive maintenance performance against key metrics, including safety, equipment uptime, maintenance cost, work order completion, and PM/PdM compliance.
- Translate plant and corporate objectives into clear maintenance goals, priorities, and operating plans
- Ensure disciplined execution of daily management systems, standard work, and KPI reviews.
- Maintain full maintenance coverage during production hours and ensure rapid response to equipment issues.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, SOPs, and risk assessments for all maintenance activities.
- Support production by ensuring equipment reliability, timely repairs, and effective planning of maintenance activities.
Organizational Leadership & People Development
- Provide visible, values based leadership that sets clear expectations for behavior, performance, and accountability across the maintenance team.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors and technicians, ensuring they are equipped to troubleshoot, solve problems, and deliver results through others.
- Build a high performing maintenance team through effective hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaged workplace culture where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are shared responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with employees, reinforcing vision, priorities, and alignment to company objectives.
- Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations matters and workforce planning.
Safety, Quality & Compliance Leadership
- Champion a proactive safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, enforcing standards, leading incident investigations, and driving corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, and labor requirements.
- Maintain adherence to quality standards and support investigations into customer or warranty issues when required.
- Act as the maintenance authority for audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve maintenance processes.
- Drive root cause problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
- Lead change initiatives effectively by engaging stakeholders, communicating clearly, and sustaining improvements over time.
- Balance short-term repair needs with long-term equipment reliability and team capability development.
Financial & Strategic Stewardship
- Maintain accountability for maintenance financial performance, including labor, operating costs, and contractor spend.
- Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Source and manage third-party contractors, obtaining multiple quotes to ensure value.
- Support capital planning by identifying maintenance-related risks, equipment needs, and reliability improvements.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records and reporting across all maintenance activities.
- Participate in meetings, training, and development activities as required.
- Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
- Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Four-year college degree or eight to ten years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations.
- Strong ability to use power and hand tools.
- Supply chain management experience preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Computer Skills
- Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
