
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient production at the Macomb manufacturing facility. You will drive maintenance strategy, manage department performance, and partner cross-functionally to deliver operational excellence.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
Lead and manage the plant maintenance function to reduce equipment downtime and improve overall plant efficiency.
Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for the maintenance team, ensuring performance expectations are met.
Promote and enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across all maintenance activities.
Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, USDA regulations and GMP standards within the Maintenance Department.
Develop, manage, and maintain the maintenance operating budget, including monitoring departmental expenditures.
Support capital planning activities by developing cost estimates and contributing to long-term capital strategies.
Establish and manage maintenance performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Implement systems and processes to evaluate maintenance work, including internal teams and contractors.
Manage contractor relationships and oversee all contracted maintenance services for planned and unplanned work.
Oversee execution of maintenance activities through field presence, inspections, and collaboration with plant teams and external partners.
Partner with the Reliability COE to implement and sustain reliability systems, standards, and best practices.
Identify and prioritize maintenance losses and ensure action plans are developed and executed to eliminate recurring issues.
Drive adoption and compliance with SAP Plant Maintenance systems and standards across the department.
Assess team capability, identify skill gaps, and lead development plans to build technical and leadership capability within the team.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and other partners to improve equipment performance and plant reliability.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or technical field preferred.
5+ years of experience managing a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of PLCs and controls systems.
Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, reliability practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to analyze data and drive improvements.
Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance or similar systems preferred.
Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared, or ultrasound preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
You will be expected to perform the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing and walking regularly and occasionally sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Compensation
Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
