Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced and driven Mobile Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our Beta Hunt Gold Mine, located near Kambalda in Western Australia's highly prospective Goldfields region.

Reporting to the General Manager, this key leadership role is responsible for coordinating, leading and overseeing all site maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable performance of our underground mobile fleet. You will play a critical role in driving maintenance excellence, safety performance, equipment reliability, workforce capability and cost-effective asset management across the operation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive maintenance leader who enjoys developing teams, delivering operational improvements and contributing to one of Australia's most exciting underground gold operations.

Role responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate visible and proactive safety leadership across all maintenance activities.
  • Lead and support safety initiatives, workshop inspections, audits and risk management processes.
  • Participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively through INX.
  • Lead maintenance teams and contractors to safely execute planned and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure maintenance workshop facilities and infrastructure are maintained to industry-leading standards.
  • Analyse maintenance outcomes, identify improvement opportunities and report performance variances.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to optimise fleet availability, reliability and productivity.
  • Drive improvements in maintenance workflows, planning systems and maintenance execution strategies.
  • Contribute to major maintenance and overhaul planning activities, ensuring robust and achievable work plans.
  • Actively manage maintenance operating and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Monitor labour requirements and workforce planning to support operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset performance and reduce maintenance costs while maintaining safety and reliability standards.

About you

  • Engineering Trades Certificate and/or appropriate Tertiary qualifications.
  • Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class “C” Driver’s Licence.
  • National Police Clearance, completed within 12 months prior to commencement date.
  • Significant leadership experience within mobile maintenance operations, preferably in underground mining.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance and asset management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large maintenance teams and contractors in a mining environment.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, resource planning and operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Well-developed understanding of safety systems, risk management and statutory compliance requirements.
