Job Description

A precision manufacturer serving aerospace and defense customers is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Manager. This person will lead two maintenance technicians and take ownership of equipment reliability and facility upkeep across a shop with more than 80 machines.

The right candidate can troubleshoot CNC equipment and lead people. They will help the team move from reacting to breakdowns toward planned maintenance, clearer priorities, and lasting fixes.

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach, and prioritize work for two maintenance technicians.
• Troubleshoot CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control issues.
• Improve preventive maintenance, work tracking, spare parts, and follow-through on recurring failures.
• Support upkeep of the building and its electrical, HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, and other systems.
• Decide when to use outside service providers and where the team can cost-effectively handle work in-house.
• Partner with production and operations leadership to reduce downtime and plan repairs.

What we’re looking for

• Manufacturing maintenance leadership experience, whether as a manager or supervisor.
• Hands-on CNC maintenance experience, particularly with mills and lathes used to cut metal.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read equipment manuals and electrical diagrams.
• An organized, approachable leader who will work alongside the team and build accountability.
• Experience improving preventive maintenance practices.
• U.S. citizenship.
