The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Lysaght business as a Maintenance Manager based at our Novar Gardens site in South Australia. Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products across Australia, delivering customer-inspired outcomes that support architects, engineers, builders, installers and property owners in creating their vision.

In this key role, you will guide the maintenance function across the state, helping ensure our equipment, assets and preventative maintenance systems are safe, reliable, cost effective and continuously improved.

You’ll join the Novar Gardens team at an exciting time as we continue to invest in our operations, strengthen our capability and create opportunities for people to learn, contribute and grow across safety, reliability, asset performance and manufacturing excellence.

What Will You Do?

Working collaboratively with the maintenance team and partnering closely with operations, sales and regional leadership teams, you will:

  • support a strong safety culture and help the business continue working towards Zero Harm
  • contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of preventative maintenance systems across branches
  • use your technical knowledge and curiosity to improve equipment reliability, asset performance and maintenance effectiveness
  • coach, support and develop the maintenance team, building capability, confidence and engagement
  • lead the development and management of maintenance budgets across sites, using cost controls and improvement initiatives to support safe, reliable and cost-effective operations
  • contribute to capital planning, budget development and business case preparation for projects that improve asset performance, operational capability and long-term reliability
  • ensure maintenance activity, reporting, compliance and legal requirements are completed accurately and on time
  • partner with internal and external stakeholders to support operational performance, customer outcomes and business improvement projects

You are a collaborative and people-focused leader who enjoys bringing others on the journey with you. You’ll bring a practical approach to solving problems and improving asset and maintenance performance.

In addition, you will bring:

  • experience in maintenance, asset management, manufacturing, operations or a related technical environment
  • experience supporting, coaching or leading others to achieve shared outcomes
  • strong safety leadership and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of yourself and others
  • commercial awareness, with the ability to develop and manage budgets, support capital planning and influence cost-effective outcomes across multiple sites
  • a thoughtful approach to problem solving, with the ability to use data and insights to guide improvement
  • confidence building trusted relationships across operations, sales and leadership teams
  • a trade background or engineering experience would be beneficial
