Job Location: Elm Hotel - San Francisco, CA 94102
Salary Range: $78,022.00 - $81,533.00 SalaryAt Episcopal Community Services (ECS), employees work with participants who may be experiencing homelessness, behavioral health conditions, substance use challenges, and other difficult life circumstances. While this work is meaningful and mission-driven, it can at times be stressful, demanding, or unpredictable. Employees are expected to exercise sound judgment, remain aware of their surroundings, follow established safety, communication, and de-escalation procedures, participate in all required trainings, and promptly report incidents, threats, injuries, or unsafe conditions, in accordance with ECS policies and procedures.
This position is a fully onsite, client-facing role that requires in-person interaction and direct service delivery to participants at ECS program locations. Due to the essential nature of the duties and the need for consistent in-person engagement with clients, remote work or work-from-home arrangements are not available for this position.
SALARY:
External Candidates: $78,022 - $79,192
Internal Candidates: $80,363 - $81,533 Based on Longevity

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, and reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Manager performs work in the operation and maintenance of the building and grounds to ensure efficient plant operation. Engages in the operation, maintenance repairs and safeguarding of the building and property and performs maintenance duties in the property. Employee is on call in case of an emergency.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Performs maintenance and custodial service as instructed by supervisor.
- Completes routine general maintenance and minor plumbing repair work.
- Performs minor carpentry work.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities as advised by supervisor.
- Utilizes tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Assists in the orientation of new staff.
- Completes assigned preventative maintenance plan tasks.
- Display behavior that supports the mission, vision and values of ECS.
- Understand and adhere to company, property and department programs, policies and procedures.
- Keep current knowledge and required certifications for quality maintenance services mandated by federal and state law, and other regulating agencies.
- Understand and adhere to federal and state laws governing employee and resident rights.
Engage with residents in a professional and respectful manner, fostering a sense of community and dignity.

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in in maintenance trade fields.
- Knowledge of operating principles and maintenance requirements of the mechanical and electrical installations on facility property.
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, materials and equipment used in the plumbing, masonry, electrical, heating and air conditioning, carpentry, planting and landscape maintenance trades.

OTHER:
Must secure finger image screening and annual TB screening. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which may include lifting of up to 50 lbs.
