Maintenance Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Make decisions based on data to support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, in that order of priority.
• Maintain plant housekeeping, inspection for safety, 5S, ease of operations, continuous improvement, and training.
• Reduce & eliminate all root & contributing causes of unexpected downtime on all equipment, tooling & fixtures.
• Maintain equipment uptime to reduce number of window units waiting for shipping trucks on Load Dates.
• Manage all aspects of building and site cleanliness, maintenance, regulations, lighting, and upgrades.
• Generate and execute a list of improvement projects to assist the plant in achieving the KPIs.
• Develop and run a preventative maintenance program for all site assets, equipment, tooling and fixtures.
• Hire, train, develop a maintenance crew to optimize the plant KPI.
• Administer maintenance employees; hours, vacations, absenteeism in such a way to eliminate any negative impact.
• Assist in all internal, external, government, and regulations requirements, audits and certification on IG and Vinyl's.
• Assist in planning and execution of capital projects; quotes, justification, CAR, planning and implementation.
• Willing and able to cover for maintenance technicians and other managers if needed.
• Deep understanding of AM values, practice them, train subordinates, and "walk the values".
• Practice and promote all HR policies and procedures regarding hiring, training, certification, and disciplinary actions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of experience as a maintenance or industrial engineer
• Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong team working capabilities.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Automation / Electrical-Mechanical / PLC
• Experience in electric and electronic trouble shooting and design.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
