Job Description

Kemin is hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and deliver maximum equipment uptime through strong preventive maintenance, fast breakdown troubleshooting, and disciplined execution in CMMS.

In this role, you will manage daily maintenance coordination with production, lead a shift-based team, and drive reliability improvements, cost control, and maintenance projects across the site.

This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader with strong technical troubleshooting, project management, and people leadership skills who can build a high-performing team and ensure full compliance with Safety, GMP, SOPs and Code Standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance operations and coordinate closely with production to ensure smooth plant performance
  • Drive equipment reliability and uptime through data analysis, preventive maintenance, and fast breakdown resolution
  • Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety, GMP, SOPs, and maintenance standards
  • Plan and manage preventive maintenance schedules, calibration activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage multiple maintenance projects, contractors, and external partners, ensuring on-time and compliant execution
  • Control maintenance budget and costs, including purchase orders and cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure availability and optimization of spare parts inventory using CMMS systems to avoid downtime
  • Drive 5S, automation, and process improvements to increase productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation of maintenance activities in CMMS

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing maintenance teams
  • Solid expertise in technical troubleshooting (mechanical and/or electrical systems)
  • Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs and SOP development
  • Proven ability in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing maintenance projects, budgets, and cost control
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and data-driven maintenance management
  • Knowledge of Safety, GMP, and compliance standards in manufacturing
