Maintenance Manager

Faribault, MN | Direct Hire | $120,000–$155,000

Konik is partnering with a growing food manufacturing company to add a Maintenance Manager to their team. This individual will lead plant maintenance operations across production equipment, facilities, utilities, and infrastructure while helping drive reliability, uptime, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

This is a highly visible leadership role ideal for someone who combines strong technical maintenance knowledge with a hands-on leadership style and a passion for developing maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance operations across production equipment, facilities, utilities, and plant infrastructure
  • Drive equipment reliability initiatives focused on reducing downtime and improving MTBF performance
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs utilizing CMMS systems and maintenance performance data
  • Develop maintenance staff through coaching, training, accountability, and succession planning
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering, and EHS teams to support operational goals
  • Oversee department budgeting, maintenance expenses, spare parts inventory, and contractor/vendor relationships
  • Support capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, USDA, HACCP, SQF, and company safety standards
  • Create a culture focused on root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, and long-term equipment reliability

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting knowledge
  • Experience managing preventive and predictive maintenance systems and CMMS platforms
  • Background leading maintenance teams in food, beverage, packaging, or related manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of PLCs, packaging equipment, plant utilities, and industrial systems
  • Experience with budgeting, staffing, maintenance planning, and vendor management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands-on management style
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $120,000–$155,000 (depending on experience)
