Caribbean | On-Site, Single Status Preferred
A luxury Caribbean resort is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a team of approximately 30 across Maintenance, Landscaping, and Pool Maintenance. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role for a disciplined operator who can build structure, elevate performance, and drive a culture of accountability — while delivering the infrastructure reliability that underpins a six-star guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~30 across maintenance, landscaping, and pool operations
• Build and execute a robust preventative maintenance programme across all villa, BOH, and resort systems
• Oversee generators, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, pools, sewage treatment, irrigation, and sustainability functions
• Strengthen supervisors and drive consistent follow-through on operational priorities
• Plan proactively, anticipate issues, and ensure the department runs with minimal disruption
• Uphold and advance the resort's sustainability commitments, including Green Globe or equivalent certifications
• Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support seamless guest and operational outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
• Proven leadership experience in maintenance/facilities management within hotels, resorts, or villa properties
• Strong technical knowledge of resort infrastructure: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, pools, generators, and sewage systems
• Track record of developing teams, raising standards, and building high-performance cultures
• Structured, organised, and forward-thinking — a proactive planner, not a reactive responder
• Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (Green Globe or similar) is a strong advantage
• Caribbean or island resort experience strongly preferred
• Clear communicator with the composure and professionalism to hold a team accountable
Compensation Package
• Net salary: US$3,000/month
