The Maintenance Manager will oversee and lead assigned maintenance team(s) to ensure safe, expedient and efficient installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities to maintain and improve equipment reliability. This role will be responsible for managing maintenance tasks, leading a team of supervisors and technicians, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime, improve reliability, and reduce operational costs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Demonstrate leadership by championing Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Values and living the Lozier Leadership Model.
  • Develop, motivate, and guide technicians to improve required skills, and performance, to meet both career goals and organizational reliability objectives.
  • Identify, review, assign and prioritize maintenance tasks, strategies, and projects to proactively influence continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment including process design(s) to ensure plant adheres to current and future reliability and efficiency metrics.
  • Work collaboratively to plan, organize, and justify costs for project implementation, predictive and preventive maintenance, and to create recommendations on necessary adjustment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for equipment and parts procurement to facilitate maintenance, repairs, and operations (MRO) management.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime, reduce costs, extend the lifespan of equipment, and improve operations.
  • Lead a zero-injury safety culture through focus on safety initiatives, communication, incident follow up, and corrective actions.
  • Establish maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, local policies, and operating requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, standard, and company policies are understood, supported, and followed in all facets of production.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance-related issues and respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • May develop and manage the maintenance budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficient resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair history.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor degree in engineering, facilities management, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or other relative experience, with at least 2 years of demonstrated success in leading or managing in a manufacturing environment, if degreed. Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering, facilities management, maintenance, or other relative experience with at least 4 years of demonstrated success in leading or managing in a manufacturing environment, if non-degreed.

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting including welders, brake presses, roll formers, punch presses, paint lines, lasers, CNC equipment and dies.
  • Experience with reliability centered maintenance.
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office applications and relevant maintenance software.
  • General mechanical and electrical knowledge including troubleshooting and programmable controller knowledge.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrative problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge and application continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Skilled knowledge of tool and die.
  • Knowledge of standard budget planning process.
  • Knowledge of project planning database programs.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing practices.
  • Use of MP2 to track machine components and labor cost related to equipment.
  • Use of Oracle to track machine components and labor cost related to equipment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/2D CAD systems.

SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to navigate throughout a manufacturing facility or warehouse 75% of the day.
  • Must be flexible to cover for shifts other than the regularly assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry product and materials occasionally.
