Job Description

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Machinist repairs machinery or mechanical/electrical equipment. Work involves most of the following: examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose sources of trouble, dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts. In general, the work of Maintenance Machinist requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Role Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through three years of experience in a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Interface with customers to maintain a positive working relationship;
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work safely and understand all safety requirements and company policy.
  • Ability to travel to various facilities.
  • Must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Physical Requirements:

May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours and weekends and holidays.

While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 50 pounds. Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
