Key responsibilities
In this role, you will provide technical support and service for systems within critical infrastructure environments. As a trusted point of contact for our customers, you will coordinate service and maintenance activities while ensuring the reliable operation of modern IT and automation solutions. You will be mainly accountable for:
Coordinate and execute service contracts and maintenance activities for systems supporting critical infrastructure
Provide technical support to customers as a trusted point of contact, both remotely and on-site
Administer and maintain Windows servers, client systems, networks, backup solutions, and Group Policies
Plan and coordinate service activities in close collaboration with customers
Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and maintenance records
Ensure high service quality while continuously enhancing customer satisfaction
Troubleshoot technical issues and support the optimization of existing systems
Willingness to travel approximately 50%, primarily within Germany
Qualifications for the role
Completed vocational training or further education as a technician in Information Technology, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Initial professional experience in service, engineering, or industrial automation is an advantage
Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server/Client, Microsoft Office) and IT infrastructure
Experience with networking, IT security, VMware virtualization, Active Directory, WSUS, and backup solutions
Knowledge of ABB 800xA and/or ABB Melody systems is considered an advantage
Fluent German and good English communication skills, both written and spoken
Independent, structured, and customer-oriented working style with strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn
Valid Class B driving licence
