The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, coordinating the work of the maintenance team, and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

What To Expect:

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Prioritize and assign daily maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and support root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and managers to schedule maintenance work during optimal times.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members to improve skill sets and promote safe work practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects to increase equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Work Environment:

The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical fitness to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
