Position: Claremont Fiber Maintenance Inventory Specialist
Reports To: Claremont Fiber Maintenance Manager
Starting Rate: $23/hr
Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday
of Position
Maintenance Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Maintenance Repairs and Operations Inventory by working closely with internal customers across multiple departments to maintain the highest level of inventory accuracy and providing other support to Operations and Management as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs all aspects of work is a focus on Safety first.
• Oversees all aspects of MRO Parts inventory management; daily stocking on all inventory received, maintaining parts check out system and SAP parts data, confirming physical stock levels though cycle counts, and maintaining a well-organized MRO Parts area.
• Manages activities related to supply cage including inventory counting (daily, weekly, yearly), restocking delivered product and rotating stock on shelves to maintain FIFO.
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support production plan.
• Ensure SAP data for all MRO inventory is accurate.
• Maintenance data accuracy to assist SAP systems in generating orders properly including creating new SAP numbers and MRP data in accordance with current SOP.
• Works with Maintenance Planner to develop appropriate stock levels at point of use, storage indication and usage; follows up on abnormal usage and/or stock levels.
• Work with Maintenance Planner to provide kits and maintenance plans for planned and corrective maintenance activities.
• Independently identify priorities and proactively work to achieve efficiency.
• Offers administrative support.
• Assist in managing transportation logistics for escalated material as needed.
• Work with Maintenance Manager, Engineering, Material Planner, PCTs, and TSA teams to identify alternatives for obsolete and hard to source parts/materials.
• Maintain exceptional 5s standards in Maintenance support areas.
• Operate forklifts, Electric pallet jack, manual pallet jacks, and other material moving equipment.
• Train and/or provide training as needed.
• Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO 14001 EMS guidelines.
• Other responsibilities as directed by Manager.

• Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates self-assured decision making and critical thinking in a complex and quick changing environment
• Experience in fiber optic manufacturing preferred.
• CMMS and/or SAP experience preferred.

• Ability to lift, bend, & stoop when required and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in front of a laptop or PC workstation for extended periods of time
• Occasional standing, sitting, walking, and talking on the phone
Work Environment
This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.
• Performs jobs under varying conditions (Dust, oil, grease, hot and humid temperatures, fumes, noise, etc.)
• Wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (Shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection as required)
• Required to enter walled containment areas and access roofs on an infrequent but as needed basis which will at times require working in areas that are uncomfortably hot or cold
