MAINTENANCE I

DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Buildings and Grounds

HIRING RANGE: $23.35-$25.93/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 40 Hours per week

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing general maintenance for County buildings and grounds, maintaining proper heating/cooling functions of County buildings, and repairing all plumbing related issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC functions preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and/or power tools and equipment
• Pre-employment drug test and background check
