Job Description

Sync Lift Engineering is seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join our team supporting major port operations between Mackay and Bowen. This is an excellent opportunity for local tradespeople
looking for consistent maintenance work across critical bulk materials handling facilities. You'll be working alongside established onsite maintenance teams, delivering planned maintenance and shutdown support to ensure equipment reliability and safe operations.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on a variety of fixed plant equipment across multiple port facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing routine maintenance on conveyor systems and associated equipment
• Replacing and maintaining rollers, idlers, pulleys and conveyor components
• Maintenance and repair of fixed plant equipment
• Supporting scheduled shutdowns and planned maintenance outages
• Fault finding and mechanical repairs
• Working safely in accordance with site procedures and safety standards
• Completing maintenance documentation and reporting

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
• Previous experience in fixed plant or heavy industrial maintenance
• Experience working on conveyor systems and bulk materials handling equipment (highly regarded)
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work effectively within a maintenance team
• Current Driver's Licence
• Confined Space and Working at Heights
