As a Welder/ Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance of our customer’s state-of-the-art board machine. Your extensive mechanical knowledge and experience will be crucial in carrying out mechanical fault finding, repairs, and replacements as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding & metal working fabrication preventative maintenance on advanced machinery.
• Conduct mechanical fault finding and repair/replace parts as required.
• Provide mechanical TA support from time to time.
• Interpretation of plans & specifications
• Validation of fabrication/welding procedures
• Understand and work to Australian Welding Standards and Specifications
• Organisation of NDT procedures
• Maintain accurate written and computer-based records.
• Ensure all tasks are completed with a strong focus on health and safety.
• Be of a Safety Mindset and Focus

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role.
• Excellent equipment maintenance and upkeep ability
• Experience in heavy industry
• Relevant welding qualification and experience welding across common metal groups. (AS1796 Welding Ticket Certification or similar)
• Pressure Welding certification would be an advantage.
• Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication) or similar
• Flexibility and a team player attitude.
• Ability to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods.
• Pride in your work and a willingness to go the extra mile
