MAINTENANCE FITTER

As one of our valued team members prepares to take the
exciting step of starting their own business, an opportunity has become
available for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team. While we’ll be sad
to see them go, we’re excited to welcome someone new into our growing bakehouse
family.

Our bakehouse is growing, and we now have an opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team of pie-loving individuals in Keilor Park, VIC and be part of baking history. As an integral member of the Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses Keilor Park maintenance team, the Maintenance Fitter will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture within our Keilor Park Manufacturing Site.

WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO BAKE

Core duties:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
  • Carry out service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility
  • Stock control of all relevant consumables
  • In consultation with Production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attention
  • Constant review of production line to ensure optimal effectiveness
  • Prioritise all types of given work
  • Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment
  • Effective reporting of any issues relating to company OH&S & QA policies
  • Point of contact when attending a breakdown
  • Accurate and complete recording keeping
  • Participate in all training as required by the company
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Comply with all food regulatory and QA requirements
  • Comply with all HACCP requirements
  • Observe good manufacturing practice and comply with all GMP requirements

THE INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED

To create a recipe for success, you will bring with you the following ingredients (attributes):

  • Certificate III and IV qualifications in Mechanical Fitting
  • Full Working rights for permanent full-time employment in Australia
  • Processed based risk assessment skills
  • High level of technical and diagnostic Skills
  • Food Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
  • Planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Stainless Steel Welding Experience
  • Reliable, motivated, and punctual
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Be physically fit and healthy for work
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and independently
  • Good communication skills and possess effective leadership qualities
  • Ability to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationships
  • Understanding and practice of food hygiene and food handling concepts
