Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

· Manage telecommunications, heat, electricity, plumbing etc. and refurbishments and ensure they are well maintained;

· Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards;

· Oversee building projects, renovations or refurbishments;

· Responsible for handling facility emergencies as they arise;

· Manage the maintenance of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;

· Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations;

· Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs;

· Supervise all facilities staff and external contractors performing equipment & facilities maintenance;

· Control activities such as parking, waste disposal, building security etc.;

· Handle service contracts including company leased and owned vehicles;

· Keep financial and non-financial records.

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance facility management;

· Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing;

· Analytical and problem-solving skills;

· Decision-making;

· Teamworking;

· Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture;

· Commercial awareness;

· Customer Service;

· Organization, time management, prioritizing, and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload;

· A good knowledge of IT Packages;

Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
